Can I Return to WCE After I Opt-Out?

Customers who opted-out of Western Community Energy (WCE) service may return to WCE service. WCE will not charge you to come back or start service with WCE. Depending on when you opted-out, there will likely be a SCE waiting period before you can be transferred to WCE.

With WCE you receive the same delivery system, billing, and support you’ve always received from SCE – only the source of your power generation changes.

To Return to WCE

WCE will not charge you any fees for opting out and remaining with SCE, however SCE will charge if you opt-out outside of the 60-day enrollment notification window.

Customers who opt-out before starting WCE service or within the first 60 days of our service may return at any time. Customers who opt-out after the first 60 days of service with WCE may be prohibited by SCE from returning to WCE for one year.

Residential customers may return to WCE at their next meter read date following five days from their request. Per SCE’s Rule 23, non-residential customers must remain with SCE for six months following their request.
